Our Home: Large two bedroom apartment in upscale suburban neighborhood.

Where: 5-miles west of downtown Boston (Newton). Ten minutes by car, bus or train.

When: 15 September to 7 October 2000 (3 weeks)

Description: We live in an upscale, commuter suburb just west of Boston. Our house is in a residential neighborhood known as "The Lake" - a community of mostly Italian immigrants and more recently young professionals who work in the city such as ourselves. The apartment has five-rooms including two bedrooms, oversized kitchen/dining room, living room, sun room and bathroom. Attractive, well kept yard includes peach trees and a grape vine covered sitting area. The apartment includes all modern facilities (dishwasher, disposal, refridgerator, oven, microwave, cable TV, etc) except for laundry facilities which are just around the corner.

Would Suit: 2 adults.

Extras: two mountain bikes, computer and internet, in-line skates, golf clubs, tennis rackets, a car is negotiable

Places to See: Less than 1-hour to beaches, 1-hour to Cape Cod and the Islands, 2-hours to lakes and mountains (foliage season), 4-hours to New York City by car (45-minutes by plane), 6-hours to Montreal by car (1-hour by plane), 10-hours to Washington D.C by car (1 1/2 hours by plane), easy access to bike/running trails into Boston.

Activities: Tennis next door, multiple golf courses nearby, fishing, whale watching, any outdoor mountain sport imaginable, access to Boston's great restaurants, shopping and theater.

Special Requests: no animals and no smoking.

Animals: none.

Transport: To Boston: trains are a four-minute walk away, buses are a two-minute walk.

Would like Home: Nothing too specific. We're pretty flexible, although ideally we'd like something nice, comfortable and clean within walking distance to Sydney's harbor and attractions. Add a nice view, barbecue, gym, and swimming pool and we'd be friends for life!

Places for us to Visit: All of Sydney. Possible trips to Great Barrier Reef, Melbourne, or KI.
